Viridian Nutrition are the leading range of ethical and organic health and beauty products in the US, they have a growing presence in the UK.
The aim of their recent event was to introduce UK distributors to the new product lines. We were contacted as we have catered for a number of similar organisations (The British Nutrition Society / The Institute for Optimum Nutrition / The British Association for Applied Nutation). In particular the client wanted a tailor made menu which reflected their core brand values, specifically seasonal produce, freshly prepared, healthy.
We prepared a menu which was truly gluten free (i.e. prepared in an environment with no possibility of cross contamination with any flour), vegan and low fat. The client was delighted with how the event went; they have now booked 6 more events with us going into 2016.

The role of the Plunket Foundation is to help rural communities to set up and run community-owned enterprises and to champion and connect rural co-operatives internationally.

This was a high profile event covered by two national television stations and numerous print journalist. The entire board of one of the leading companies in the UK was presenting their strategy to shareholders, at a time when their industry was under enormous pressure.
The brief was to create a menu which could be served at any time during a three-hour slot (there was no certainty as to how long the meeting would last). The menu was to reflect the core values of William Hill, namely competence and efficiency and above all not ostentatious.

2013 – Present & Onwards
The IUA is the representative body for the marine and non-marine sectors of the insurance market. Senior members of marine insurance companies had, since the 1850s, been meeting informally in the Jerusalem Coffee House and the Jamaica Wine Rooms near the Royal Exchange to discuss policy wordings and other matters of mutual interest. A proposal was made to establish a formal representative underwriting association in July 1882 and two years later the new ILU took up offices in the Royal Exchange Buildings.
Over the years we have catered for a vast number of meetings for this august body. The brief to produce food of the highest quality, prepared fresh on the day, above all variety. Many of the representatives to the body eat out every single day, it is important that they are not bored by the food we offer.

We were delighted to be asked to cater for Queen Máxima of the Netherlands. The event she was attending was designed to focus on the excesses in the finance industry and the ethical questions which could be learned going forward.
Additional keynote speakers included the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby, and the chairmen of CEO of nearly all the major clearing banks in London, including HSBC, Barclays, RBS, JP Morgan and Deutsche Bank. In consultation with the client we designed a fork buffet menu focusing on the best of Dutch and British Foods, items included:
Pannenkoeken (sweet and savory)
Erwtensoep (a thick pea soup)
BamiGoreng (reflecting the Dutch colonial connections with Indonesian)
Bitterballen. These little meatballs.

The Fabian Society is Britain’s oldest political think tank. Founded in 1884, the Society is at the forefront of developing political ideas and public policy on the left. The Society aims to promote:
greater equality of power, wealth and opportunity
the value of collective action and public service
an accountable, tolerant and active democracy
citizenship, liberty and human rights
multilateral international cooperation
It was important for the society that the catering reflected the aims and ideals of the society. Of course, the price was of paramount importance, the society is a charity so the rate was critical.
